Får försöka summera ihop helgen dag för dag nu, har inte riktigt hunnit med att uppdatera. Har hänt ganska mycket den här helgen, en del roliga saker och en del mindre roliga. I fredags gick jag upp vid kl.4.30 för att åka till en kyrkogård för att filma material till en musikvideo. Kom tillbaka till campus lagom till frukost, sen va jag så så trött att jag sov fram till lunch. Vid lunch hade Internationella kontoret här på Marshall fixat picknick för alla internationella studenter. Efter det så pluggade jag några timmar i biblioteket(spenderar mer tid där än jag gör i mitt rum). På kvällen gick några av oss och såg Resident Evil: Retribution på bio. Äntligen säger jag bara! Ännu en bra sak med USA, man får gratis filmposters när man går på bio!
Efter bion så skulle vi gå till en vinbar, men det slutade med att vi inte hann dit pga. av bion och gick till en annan bar istället. Tyvärr så blev en av tjejerna dåliga och vi var tvungna att ta en taxi till campus. Vi misstänker såhär i efterhand att någon kan ha försökt droga henne genom att lägga något i hennes drink, men vi vet inte säkert. Väl på campus fick hon böta 500 dollar för att hon hade druckit alkhol fast hon inte hade fyllt 21 år än och polisen ville även ge mig böter för att jag skulle ha "köpt" alkoholen till henne. Tyvärr så är det inga problem att ta sig in på en bar eller klubb här, även om man är minderårig. Entré är gratis för tjejer på 90% av alla ställen och man kan till och med se folk stå och röka på mitt på dansgolvet, ingen bryr sig.
Lyckades övertala polisen om att jag inte hade köpt alkohol till henne(vilket jag inte heller hade gjort) så jag fick ingen böter. Något galen kväll och jag vill INTE uppleva det igen. Så ett tips till er som någon gång går till en bar eller klubb i USA, håll koll på era drinkar, vad bartendern gör och tänk er för innan ni går ut om ni är minderåriga. Det kan bli väldigt dyrt!
I will try to sum up the weekend day by day, because I haven't really had time to update this weekend. A lot have happened this weekend, some fun things and some less fun. Last Friday I got up at kl.4.30 to go to a cemetery to film material for a music video. Came back to campus in time for breakfast, then I was so so tired that I slept until lunch. At lunch the International office here at Marshall had fixed a picnic for all the international students. After that I studied for a few hours in the library(spending more time there than I do in my room right now). In the evening some of us went and saw Resident Evil: Retribution at thecinema. Finally! Another good thing about the U.S., you get free movie posters when you go to the movies!
After the cinema we were supposed to go to the wine bar, but ended up with that we didn't go there but went to another bar instead. Unfortunately, one of us girls got sick and we had to take her home in a taxi to campus. We suspect that someone may have tried to drug her by putting something in her drink, but we don't know for sure. Once on campus, she was fined $ 250 because she had been drinking alcohol, though she wasn't 21 years old yet and the police also wanted to give me a fine because I "bought" the alcohol for her. Unfortunately, there is no problem to get into a bar or club here, even if you are underage. Admission is free for girls at 90% of the places and you can even see people stand and smoke weed in the middle of the dance floor, no one cares.
Managed to persuade the police that I had not bought alcohol for her (which I hadn't done) so I didn't get a fine. It was a somewhat crazy night and I don't want to experience it again! So a tip for those of you who ever go to a bar or club in the U.S., keep a good eye onyour drinks, what the bartender does and think about what you're doign before you go out underage, it could end up very expensive!
