Bejesus vad trött jag är! Igår var jag i skolan till kl.2.00 på morgonen och jobbade med mina affischer för Graphic Design II för att jag skulle hinna klart till lektionen för att kunna få kritik/feedback på det jag har gjort. Kritik är tydligen en väldigt big deal här i USA. Så fort vi har gjort någonting så ska det hängas upp på väggen och alla andra i klassen, inklusive läraren, ger kritik på vad du har gjort. Det kan vara riktigt brutalt ibland och man vet aldrig och man kommer få positiv eller negativ kritik. Idag fick jag faktiskt ganska mycket positiv kritik, I guess all that hard work payd off!
Just nu är kl.00.18 här i USA och jag ska upp igen om 4 timmar. Jag och några till studenter från Advanced Digital Media kursen ska åka till kyrkogården i Milton(ca. 20-30 min från Huntington) för att filma och fota material till en musikvideo. Musikvideon produceras av någon kille i New York och syftet med video är at visa kända gravplatser och kyrkogårdar runt om i USA. Tanken är att vi ska åka riktigt tidigt så vi kan få med både morgondimman och soluppgången när vi filmar. Att gå upp kl.4.30 och åka till en kyrkogård ingår inte direkt i kursplanen, men tydligen om man frivillgt hjälper till med saker utanför skoltid så for man extra "poäng" som sen läggs till på ditt betyg. Jag får alltså se en känd kyrkogård(fast jag inte vet varför den är känd) och får bonuspoäng i betygen samtidigt, Win/Win! Man kan ju inte annat än att älska det Amerikanska skolsystemet?

Criticism is apparently a very big deal here in the U.S.. Once we have done something, it's hung on the wall and everyone else in the class, including the teacher, critique what you have done. It can be really brutal at times and you never know if you will get positive or negative criticism. Today I actually pretty much only got positive critic, I guess all the hardwork payed off!
Right now it's just past midnight here in the U.S. and I'm getting up again in 4 hours. Me and a few students from the Advanced Digital Media course are going to the cemetery in Milton about 20-30 minutes from Huntington) to film and shoot material for a music video. The Music Video is to be produced by some guy in New York and the purpose of the video is to show burial sites of famous people around the United States. The idea is that we want to go really early so we can get the morning fog and sunrise when we film. Going up kl.4.30 and go to a cemetery is not included directly in the curriculum, but apparently if you voulenteer to help with things outside school hours you get additional "points" which then will be added to your grades. So I can see a famous gravesite(though I don't know why it's famous) and get bonus points in my grades at the same time, Win/Win! Can you anything but love the American school system?
